FROM PENCIL TO PREMIERE

Every picture walks the same seven steps of the house. Nothing is skipped, nothing is rushed — the metronome sets the pace, the kettle keeps the score.

    THE GAG

You tell the kettle your story, your audience and your deadline. We listen, ask embarrassing questions and sketch the first pencil notes the same day. No paperwork yet — just the gag, out loud.

  2. 2

    THE STORYBOARD

Every scene becomes a thumbnail on the board — gags stacked in order, titles in the margin. You approve the flow before a single frame moves. Cheaper to move a drawing than to move a film.

  3. 3

    THE PENCIL TEST

The boards start moving: a rough timing reel cut to the metronome. You watch the whole picture in pencil — jokes land or die here, and that is exactly where they should.

  4. 4

    INK & PAINT

Clean lines on vellum, paint on glass, backgrounds in gouache. One honest frame after another — 24 to every second, no copying machines, no shortcuts.

  5. 5

    THE SCORE

A jazz session for the picture — whistle-ready tunes and effects recorded the old way, on wax. The music carries the gags; the gags carry the music.

  6. 6

    THE PREMIERE

A 24 fps master, graded and synced, in every size your screen dreams of: cinema, web, museum wall. Titles if you want them — hand-lettered, of course.

  7. 7

    THE ENCORE

Two reels of revisions ride along free — a house rule taped above every desk. The files are yours, the original art ships in the tube, and the ink stays wet for the next picture.

HOUSE RULE №2Dailies every day — you see the picture grow, never a surprise premiere. HOUSE RULE №2424 frames per second, always. Stretch a gag to 25 and the kettle will hear of it. HOUSE RULE №7No copying machines. Every frame is drawn by a cup-headed hand.
